Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal found himself at the center of controversy as Delhi Crime Branch officers paid a visit to his residence on Friday, serving him a notice regarding his recent assertions about the BJP’s alleged attempts to lure seven AAP MLAs. According to reports from news agency ANI, the Delhi Police requested Kejriwal to furnish evidence substantiating his claims.

Kejriwal had stirred the political pot last week with a social media post, asserting that seven AAP MLAs had been approached by the BJP. However, these allegations were swiftly rebuffed by the BJP, which labeled them as baseless.

“This shows how politically desperate Kejriwal has become. His unfounded allegations are merely an attempt to sustain his political relevance. Accusing the BJP of attempting to sway AAP MLAs, despite AAP commanding a significant majority with 62 out of 70 MLAs in Delhi, speaks volumes about his lack of political acumen,” remarked Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva in response to Kejriwal’s claims.

The Delhi Crime Branch’s involvement in the matter signifies the gravity of the situation, indicating that the authorities are taking the allegations seriously and conducting a thorough investigation. As the political landscape in Delhi continues to evolve, this incident underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in political discourse.
