Mira Road Murder Case Takes New Turn, Killer Claims Partner’s Death by Poison

The Mira Road murder investigation has taken an unexpected turn as the accused, Manoj Sane, informed the police that his live-in partner, Saraswati Vaidya, died after consuming poison, and he resorted to chopping her body to evade arrest. Sane was apprehended on Wednesday and presented before a Thane Court, which granted police custody until June 16.

A case has been filed against Sane under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (destruction of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code. The motive behind the crime is yet to be determined, according to an official from the Naya Nagar police station.

Sane, employed at a ration shop, and the couple had been residing in flat no. 704 on the seventh floor of Geeta Akashdweep building in Mira Road East for the past three years.
