Mumbai: On Easter day, a few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral in New Delhi, it was hoped that his followers would take his visit as a message to live in peace and harmony with the Christian community and all minority communities across India.
But unfortunately, as reported in a video by media group The Hindustan Gazette-English, an oath of economic boycott of Christians and Muslims was taken in Chhattisgarh in the presence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, remarked Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national spokesperson in a tweet on Wednesday.
“If their presence is true, then this act is very saddening and unfortunate and shows that the message portrayed by our PM Modi is not regarded by his followers. BJP must identify these leaders and pull them up for not following PM Modi ji’s message and also ask them to live in peace and harmony with Christians and Muslims in Chhattisgarh”, remarked Clyde Crasto, national spokesperson of the NCP.
