Afghanistan: 46 girls and women among 53 killed in suicide bombing at Kabul school

The death toll from the suicide bombing that took place Friday (Sept 30) in Afghanistan’s Kaaj Educational Center has climbed up to 53, AFP reported.

Meanwhile, of the 53, 46 were girls and women killed in Kabul classroom, according to the United Nations.

“Fifty three killed, at least 46 girls & young women,” the United Nations mission in Afghanistan said on Twitter, adding that another 110 people were injured in the bombing on Friday.

According to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), the death toll from Friday’s college bombing in the Hazara neighbourhood is likely to rise further.

Earlier, on Friday the blast occurred in the 13th security area of Kabul, Taliban spokesperson Abdul Nafee Takour was quoted as saying by TOLO news.
