Mahore: In a significant initiative to spread awareness against drug abuse, the Indian Army’s 58 RR (Rajput) organised a “Nasha Mukti Abhiyan” Pad Yatra in Mahore area of Reasi district on Wednesday.
Around 220 people, including local leaders, school and college students, civil administration officials, and residents, participated in the awareness rally. The programme began with the National Anthem, followed by a pledge against drug abuse.
The event was organised by the 58 RR (Rajput) unit stationed in Mahore in coordination with the civil administration. Deputy Commissioner Reasi, SDM Mahore, local representatives, students, and members of the public took part enthusiastically in the campaign.
Participants carried awareness banners and raised slogans highlighting the harmful effects of narcotics and the importance of youth participation in nation-building activities.
Speakers at the event emphasised the need for collective efforts to eliminate drug abuse and build a healthy, progressive, and drug-free society. The strong participation from different sections of society reflected a shared commitment toward securing a better future for the younger generation.
The programme concluded with a message of unity, awareness, and collective responsibility, reaffirming the resolve of all stakeholders to contribute positively toward society and nation-building.
