The Maharashtra government has decided to set up a pediatric task force. It will help the state to prepare for the 3rd wave of coronavirus. Health minister Rajesh Tope has said that, as per recommendations of this task force, various facilities like beds, ventilators for children, SNCU beds etc. will be set up.

Maharashtra has received 52 thousand Remdesivir vials donated by USAID. He added that various Pharma companies are not providing centrally allocated Remdesivir vials to the state. He urged the central government to ensure complete and timely supply of Remdesivir allotted to Maharashtra. He also requested to provide sufficient doses of covaxine to vaccinate eligible beneficiaries aged 45 years and above.
