Government has said that around 136 crore doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 70 lakh 46 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry said, seven thousand 886 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.38 percent. Till now, more than three crore 41 lakh 62 thousand people have recovered from COVID-19.
The country reported seven thousand 447 new Covid cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is around 86 thousand. Presently the active cases constitute 0.25 percent of the country’s total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 66 crore 15 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
