Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that 1121 ventilators will be made available to Maharashtra in the next 3 to 4 days.
He was talking with media persons after attending a corona review meetings in Pune today. Mr Javadekar said that along with the supply of ventilators, instructions were also given to provide adequate oxygen to Maharashtra from neighbouring states as per requirement. He assured that the manpower required to deal with the Corona situation in Pune city and district will be mobilized immediately and funds will be provided from the National Health Scheme.
Mr Javadekar informed that till yesterday, 1 crore 10 lakh corona vaccines have been supplied to Maharashtra by the Centre and 95 lakh of them have been used till today. He expressed confidence that with proper distribution of the remaining 15 lakh vaccines, there will be no problem at any vaccination centre. Mr. Javadekar thanked the citizens of Pune for giving a spontaneous response to the weekend lockdown.
