Shocking! 11-Year-Old Thrown Into Burning Tandoor for Eating Rasgullas at UP Wedding

In a horrifying incident that has triggered outrage in Uttar Pradesh, an 11-year-old boy was allegedly thrown into a burning tandoor by a catering worker after the child reportedly took rasgullas from a wedding food stall.

The shocking episode took place during a wedding ceremony in Malouli Gosai village of Basti district, where the young boy, identified as Chaman, had gone with his grandmother to attend the celebrations.

According to reports, the child was playing with other children and enjoying the wedding festivities when he approached the sweets counter and began eating rasgullas. What should have been a joyful occasion soon turned into a nightmare.

Witnesses and family members alleged that a catering worker, enraged over the child taking sweets, first scolded him and then lifted him and threw him into a burning tandoor, leaving the boy with serious burn injuries.

The accused fled the venue immediately after the incident.

Wedding Celebration Turns Horrific

Chaman, a Class 2 student from Durjanpur in Gonda district, had been living with his maternal relatives in Basti after the death of his mother.

He had accompanied his grandmother to the wedding on Wednesday, unaware that the evening would end in tragedy.

According to the child’s relatives, the caterer became furious after spotting Chaman eating rasgullas from the stall. Though the worker initially warned him, the situation allegedly escalated within moments.

The family claims the catering worker suddenly attacked the child in a fit of rage, throwing him into the hot tandoor used for cooking food at the event.

The brutal act left guests in shock, and relatives rushed to rescue the child.

Boy Referred to Lucknow for Treatment

After sustaining severe burn injuries, Chaman was immediately taken to Ayodhya Medical College, where doctors administered first aid.

Given the seriousness of the burns, doctors later referred him to Lucknow for advanced treatment, where he is currently undergoing medical care.

His condition has sparked concern and anger among local residents, many of whom are demanding swift action against the accused.

Police Launch Hunt for Accused Caterer

Police have registered a case against an unidentified catering worker and have launched a search operation to trace and arrest the accused.

Authorities said the accused escaped from the wedding venue soon after the incident, and efforts are underway to identify him through witness statements and event records.

The shocking assault has raised serious questions about safety at public gatherings and the extreme violence allegedly inflicted on a child over a trivial issue.
