Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Asaduddin Owaisi launched a sharp attack on Pakistan on Thursday, claiming the country is completely dependent on China for its survival, especially when it comes to diplomatic cover on the global stage.
“It has become clear—without China, Pakistan is nothing. They are handicapped without China’s support,” Owaisi said in an interview with News18, highlighting Islamabad’s growing reliance on Beijing, particularly in international forums like the United Nations.
Owaisi was part of a multi-party delegation under “Operation Sindoor,” which aimed to brief global leaders about Pakistan’s role in shielding terror outfits. He pointed to a recent incident where China reportedly helped Pakistan block the naming of The Resistance Front (TRF) in a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution related to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
The attack, attributed to TRF—a proxy of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba—killed 26 people and prompted swift Indian military retaliation against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India had submitted detailed evidence to the 1267 Sanctions Committee of the UNSC, but the resolution ultimately excluded TRF’s name.
Owaisi criticized this omission, saying it was another example of Pakistan using Chinese influence to deflect global scrutiny. “This move shows how Pakistan is shielding terrorist groups with China’s backing. It is disgraceful and a threat to international peace,” he stated.
