Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said, the evil forces will not be allowed to hijack the atmosphere of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to reporters in Budgam district of central Kashmir yesterday, the Minister said, the killing of minority community members by terrorists in Kashmir is unfortunate. His remarks came after the killing of five civilians in the valley by the terrorists during the last four days.
Mr Naqvi said, protecting minorities in Kashmir is our national duty. He said, the killers of the innocent civilians will be held accountable.
Mr Naqvi is visiting the valley as part of Central government’s Public Outreach Programme. The Minister visited Doodhpathri in Budgam district yesterday. He interacted with representatives of District Development Council, Block Development Council and Panchayati Raj Institutions of many areas.
