Two peaks of above 6600 M scaled by Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports in record time

Srinagar: Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM&WS); under the leadership of Colonel Hem Chandra Singh, Principal, JIM&WS successfully scaled Mt Chamsar 6630 M on July 25 at 1000 H and Mt Lunser 6666 M on July 27, at 0510 H in Tso Morari region of Ladakh.

The team successfully created following records: – successful summit of Mt Chamsar 6630 M and Mt Lunser 6666 M after a gap of 14 years. Successful snowboarding for the first time in history from Mount Chamsar 6630 m. Both the peak successfully summitted in a record time of three days.
