“Forged Support Letter” Row Explodes in Tamil Nadu: TTV Dhinakaran Accuses Vijay’s TVK of Submitting Fake MLA Backing to Governor

A fresh political controversy has erupted in Tamil Nadu after T. T. V. Dhinakaran accused Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam of submitting a fabricated support document to the Governor during the intense battle over government formation in the state.

The allegation has sparked a direct confrontation between Dhinakaran’s Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam and the Vijay-led TVK camp, with both sides now presenting competing claims over the authenticity of a controversial letter linked to an MLA’s support.

Dhinakaran Questions Authenticity of Support Document

After meeting Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Dhinakaran alleged that TVK had relied on a photocopied document claiming support from AMMK MLA S. Kamaraj without producing the original version.

According to him, the authentic letter submitted to Raj Bhavan backed Edappadi K. Palaniswami as the preferred chief ministerial candidate, not TVK.

Dhinakaran claimed he personally met the Governor to present what he described as the original signed document and alleged that concerns were raised over the version submitted by TVK.

He further warned that legal action could follow, stating that AMMK was preparing to pursue a criminal complaint over the matter.

Political Tensions Rise After Hung Verdict

The dispute comes amid high political uncertainty following Tamil Nadu’s fractured Assembly verdict, where no single alliance managed to secure a comfortable majority.

As parties race to gather support from smaller groups and independents, the battle for numbers has intensified, with competing camps attempting to strengthen their claims before the Governor.

Dhinakaran indicated that his party would continue discussions with multiple political groups in an effort to build support for an alternative government arrangement.

TVK Counters Allegations With Video Evidence

In response to the accusations, TVK released a video clip that it claims shows MLA S. Kamaraj willingly signing the support letter in question.

The party strongly rejected the forgery allegations and accused Dhinakaran of spreading misinformation to create confusion during the government formation process.

TVK leaders maintained that the party had no need for secret bargaining and insisted that all support being extended to the Vijay-led formation was voluntary and politically transparent.

Fresh Twist in Tamil Nadu Power Struggle

The support letter dispute has added another dramatic chapter to Tamil Nadu’s rapidly evolving post-election crisis, where every MLA has become politically crucial.

With accusations of forgery, video evidence, and possible legal complaints now entering the picture, the fight to form the next government has moved beyond negotiations and into a full-scale political confrontation.
