Maharashtra politics is set for a fresh realignment today at 3 PM, as Shiv Sena leader and state minister Pratap Sarnaik announced that six Members of Parliament will formally join the party under the ongoing “Operation Tiger” initiative.
The induction event is scheduled to take place in Mumbai, marking one of the most significant parliamentary-level shifts for the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde.
“Operation Tiger Runs 365 Days,” Says Sarnaik
Announcing the development, Sarnaik said the political outreach drive is continuous and strategically active throughout the year.
He stated, “Operation Tiger continues all 365 days. The six MPs who follow the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray are joining Shiv Sena at 3 pm today. They have already submitted a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker.”
MPs Submit Letter to Lok Sabha Speaker
According to Sarnaik, the MPs have already submitted formal communication to the Lok Sabha Speaker, completing procedural requirements ahead of their induction into the Shiv Sena fold.
The leaders are expected to be officially welcomed into the party during the scheduled ceremony this afternoon.
Sarnaik Credits Sanjay Raut in Political Remark
In a sharp political statement, Sarnaik also took a swipe at opposition dynamics while referencing Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut.
He said, “We welcome them. We thank Sanjay Raut because of whom first the MLAs joined our party, and now six MPs are joining.”
The comment is likely to escalate tensions between the rival Shiv Sena factions as internal party realignments contints ahead of their induction into the Shiv Sena fold.
