The brutal politics of Modi government is a disgrace to humanity: Sachin Sawant

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has received information that the Modi government has ordered companies exporting Remdesivir not to supply Remdesivir injections to Maharashtra and has threatened to revoke their licenses if they violated the order.  This is very cruel and horrible and this step of the Modi government is a disgrace to humanity, remarked Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Spokesperson and General Secretary, Sachin Sawant.  “How many people of Maharashtra will the Modi government sacrifice for the sake of power?” questioned Sachin Sawant.

Explaining the stand of the Congress party in this regard, Sawant said that the Modi government is using the Corona crisis as a political opportunity.  While the central and state governments are expected to work together to address this humanitarian crisis, the Modi government is constantly trying to get the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in trouble.

At the same time, the Union Ministers have taken on the role of trolls to discredit the Maharashtra government.  Medical equipment is not being supplied to Maharashtra on time and in sufficient quantities.  Apart from this, Maharashtra is also being meted out injustice by the Modi government in the supply of vaccines and medical oxygen.  Against this backdrop, there can be no more an inhumane government than the central government which is arm twisting the Remdesivir manufacturing companies so that Maharashtra does not get Remdesivir injections as of now.

Sawant said that the MPCC strongly condemns this abhorrent politics of Modi government. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Chief Minister called the Prime Minister’s Office and demanded supply of medical oxygen and Remdesivir to the state, but he was informed that the Prime Minister was busy with the West Bengal election campaign.

From this, history will register that this modern-day Nero was engrossed in electioneering while the nation was burning in the Corona crisis.  Sawant demanded that the Maharashtra government should take stern action against the companies if the central government does not allow the supply of Remdesivir to the state.
