“Tejashwi Yadav is Our CM Face, No Dispute Among Allies”: RJD After INDIA Bloc’s Key Bihar Poll Strategy Meet

Patna: As the INDIA bloc steps up preparations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) confirmed that Tejashwi Prasad Yadav will be the alliance’s chief ministerial face, putting to rest any speculation of internal disagreements.

Speaking to the media after a crucial meeting of the INDIA bloc’s coordination committee, RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav asserted, “There is no disagreement whatsoever among the coalition partners on Tejashwi being projected as the chief ministerial candidate for the Bihar Assembly elections.”

The fifth coordination meeting of the alliance was held at the official residence of Tejashwi Yadav in Patna and focused primarily on seat-sharing arrangements. The meeting brought together leaders from key constituents of the bloc, including Congress, CPI (ML), CPI, CPM, and Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).

Following the deliberations, Tejashwi Yadav told reporters that seat-sharing talks had officially begun and that all decisions would be taken in a spirit of consensus. He took a sharp jab at the NDA government in Bihar, accusing it of having no concrete vision for the state.

“There is complete breakdown of law and order in Bihar. The government is announcing schemes that were originally introduced by us,” Tejashwi said, adding, “We’ll make bigger announcements in the coming days. The alliance has a big vision for the state.”

On alliance expansion, speculation swirls over the possible inclusion of Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, although RJD MP Manoj Jha has urged Owaisi not to contest the elections, signaling resistance to the party’s entry. At the same time, former Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras-led Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) is reportedly awaiting a nod to join the alliance.

The INDIA bloc, which aims to oust the BJP-led NDA government in Bihar, is working swiftly to finalise its strategy, ensuring a united front in the high-stakes electoral battle expected later this year.
