Mumbai: BJP Leader Sanjay Kenekar has reignited the renaming debate by demanding that the historic town of Khuldabad be renamed Ratnapur. In a bold statement, Kenekar also announced plans to formally request Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to construct a grand memorial dedicated to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj at the site.
Speaking to the media, Kenekar said, “We want Khuldabad to be renamed as Ratnapur. I will write to the CM requesting to make a memorial dedicated to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj there.” His remarks have stirred political and cultural discussions across the Marathwada region, where Khuldabad holds deep historical and religious significance.
