Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BYJM) workers in Jammu organized a protest on Thursday, raising fervent slogans against Pakistan in response to the tragic loss of Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Humayun Bhat. The gallant officers lost their lives during an intense encounter with terrorists in Anantnag on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the security forces carried out a solemn operation to airlift the mortal remains of Colonel Manpreet Singh and Major Ashish Dhonchak from the encounter site located in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. These brave soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the nation, alongside DSP Humayun Bhat, during a fierce gunfight with terrorists.

The bodies of Major Dhonchak and Colonel Singh were airlifted from Kokernag to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital situated in the Badamibagh Cantonment, as confirmed by officials.

The nation pays its utmost respects to these valiant martyrs as their mortal remains are prepared to be transported to their respective hometowns for their final rites.

In response to this tragic incident, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, resumed its counter-offensive operation on Thursday against the terrorists, focusing its efforts in the Kokernag area of the Anantnag district. The pursuit of these terrorists underscores the unwavering commitment of security forces to safeguard the region and its citizens from any threat posed by anti-national elements.
