Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the celebratory burning of Ravan’s effigy on the auspicious occasion of ‘Vijaya Dashami’ at Delhi’s Ram Leela Maidan in Dwarka Sector 10. As the chief guest at the 11th grand Ramleela organized by the Shri Ramleela Society, he also performed the symbolic act of Ravana Dahan.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi extended his warm wishes for Navratri and Vijayadashami and highlighted the significance of the festival. He emphasized that it symbolizes the victory of good over evil, a timeless message that resonates with people.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister took a moment to acknowledge the ongoing construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a project of immense cultural and religious significance for the country. He stated, “It is our good fortune that we can see the grand Ram temple being built,” underscoring the historic and transformative nature of this endeavor.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi had taken to social media, specifically on “X” (formerly known as Twitter), to extend his greetings on Vijaya Dashami. In his message, he emphasized the festival’s role in marking the end of negative forces and promoting the adoption of goodness in life. He wrote, “Best wishes to my family members across the country on Vijayadashami. This holy festival brings the message of ending negative forces as well as adopting goodness in life. Wishing you all a Happy Vijaya Dashami!”

Prime Minister Modi’s participation in these celebrations and his words on the occasion reflect the cultural and spiritual significance of Vijaya Dashami and the ongoing cultural and religious developments in the country.
