The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has decided not to support any political party in the Tamil Nadu by-elections scheduled for October 6.
Although the PMK is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) with the AIADMK and BJP, the party will remain neutral in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly constituencies.
The decision comes amid changing political equations in Tamil Nadu and growing attention around the TVK-led alliance. PMK’s move has also triggered speculation about how its relationship with the NDA could evolve ahead of future electoral contests.
