PDP’s Azad Parwaz files his nomination papers for the Handwara assembly constituency

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Azad Parwaz on Wednesday filed nomination form for the Handwara assembly constituency.

Azad accompanied by his well-wishers filed the papers before the returning officer at ADC complex Handwara. He reached the ADC office surrounded by a huge number of party supporters.

Addressing the media after filing the papers, he urged upon the voters to vote wisely without getting emotionally exploited to raise the developmental standard of the assembly.

According to political pundits “this move is seen as a major boost to the prospects of People’s Democratic Party in Handwara. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has expressed her hope that the mandated candidate would prove to be the champion of progress and prosperity in the said assembly and will strengthen the roots and energise the cadre vigorously.

It is pertinent to mention that the candidate is a son of a famed Professor of Philosophy, Sonaullah Parwaz. He was given mandate by the People’s Democratic Party after having resigned from the post of state secretary in People’s Conference.

In his message to the electorate of Handwara, Azad requested the people to shun their political rigidity and elect their candidate on genuineness and empower someone who could uplift all the areas of assembly without any bias.
