Over 97 crore 65 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in country so far

Over 97 crore 65 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under nationwide vaccination drive. Health Ministry said, more than 41 lakh 20 thousand doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

A total of 14 thousand 146 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours which is the lowest in 229 days. India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 95 thousand 846 which is the lowest in 220 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and are currently at 0.57 per cent, the lowest since March 2020. The recovery rate is currently at 98.10 percent which is the highest since March last year. Over 19 thousand 700 recoveries in the last 24 hours have taken the total recoveries to over 3 crore 34 lakh.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.42 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 114 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.29 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 48 days.

Over 59 crore COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far. In the last 24 hours more than 11 lakh tests were conducted.
