Union Health Ministry today said that over 158 crore 88 lakh doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive. The Ministry said, more than 76 lakh 35 thousand Covid vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours to the beneficiaries.
The country reported over two lakh 82 thousand new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is 18 lakh 31 thousand. The Union Health Ministry said, more than one lakh 88 thousand Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 93.88 percent. More than three crore 55 lakh patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far.
Meanwhile, a total of eight thousand 961 cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 have been reported so far in the country. The Ministry said, more than 70 crore 74 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
