Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, MLA Nitesh Rane in a tweet has raised four questions before Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray ahead of the latter’s public rally at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) grounds. Raising concern over farmer’s plight, unemployment and plight of Hindus in Maharashtra, Rane junior wanted to know whether the Chief Minister will reply to the questions in people’s mind or as usual put the blame on the Centre.
Tweeting the four questions, the BJP leader wanted to know, “Would you arrest Owaisi for hailing Aurangzeb and threatening Hindus in Maharashtra?” The question came forth after MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi went to Aurangzeb’s tomb at Khultabad near Aurangabad in Maharashtra to pay his respects.
On the issue of surplus sugarcane production, Rane asked “would you help sugarcane farmers by crushing surplus sugarcane or favour the factory owners?” He also asked “would action be taken against insurance companies for not giving crop insurance to farmers?”
Reminding the government about its announcement to bring employment, the BJP MLA said “was the mega recruitment drive announcement only a false promise of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government?”
Rane junior has posed the quartet of queries as the Shiv Sena president and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is scheduled to address a rally at BKC grounds later in the evening. The rally is being held to launch the partys “Shivasampark Abhiyan” (partys mass outreach program.
The rally is also slated to launch the Shiv Sena’s election campaign for the ensuing Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and other civic body elections in the state after the monsoon season gets over. Thackeray is expected to take stock of the political, economic and social situation prevailing in the state.
Thackeray is most likely to train his political guns on the BJP, its leader of opposition in legislative assembly Devendra Fadnavis, his estranged cousin Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, Navneet and Ravi Rana Hanuman Chalisa row and other issues. Meanwhile, Fadnavis has announced that he will hold his own rally and respond to Uddhav Thackeray’s speech, a day later.
