Andheri bypoll election is just around the corner and now Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to withdraw its contestant. Murji Patel, BJP candidate in the Andheri East bypoll will not contest the election, informed State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Earlier Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackrey on Sunday wrote a letter to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis urging him not to field a BJP candidate for the Andheri bypoll scheduled on November 3.

The MNS chief, in the letter, appealed to the BJP leader not to field its candidate in reverence to late Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke, whose demise vacated the Andheri East assembly seat.
