More than 96 crore 43 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 50 lakh 63 thousand doses were administered yesterday. Union Health Ministry in a statement said that 15 thousand 823 new cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at two lakh 7 thousand 653 and it is the lowest in 214 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.61 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
A total of 22 thousand 844 people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours and with this total recoveries touched 3 crore 33 lakh 42 thousand and 901. The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.06 per cent which is the highest since March last year.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.46 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 110 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.19 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 44 days.
Over 58 crore 63 lakh COVID tests have been conducted so far. In the last 24 hours more than 13 lakh 25 thousand tests were conducted.
