Health Ministry said, more than 49 lakh nine thousand doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The Ministry said that a total of 16 thousand 156 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 60 thousand 989 which is the lowest in 243 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and is currently at 0.47 per cent, the lowest since March 2020. The recovery rate is currently at 98.20 per cent which is the highest since March last year. Over 17 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched over three crore 36 lakh and 14 thousand.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.19 per cent which is less than two per cent for the last 34 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.25 per cent which is less than two per cent for last 24 days. Over 60 crore 44 lakh COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far. In the last 24 hours more than 12 lakh 90 thousand tests were conducted.
