Malwani Branch of Jamaat e Islami Hind and Students Islamic Organisation of India is doing Relief work during Corona Crisis.
It was started since 23 GBrd March today is 9th Day and till now 14700 food packet have been distributed in local area irrespective of cast and religion everybody living in slum areas are being benefited.
Due to shortage of funds earlier it was decided to run this relief work for 2-3 days but local bijnori samaj and other generous people are even in this hard time contributing and we could able to continue it till now and decided to run till lock down.
SIO is the student wing of Jamaat e Islami and local bijnori people altogether running this relief activity with almost precaution possible. More than 60 Ration kit also distributed worth Rs. 60000/-. To the very needy people.
Shadan Siddiqui SIO Member said “In Malwani there are large number of mazdoor and workers living in the slums are running short of money and hotels are closed so distribution of cooked food was very necessary.”
Farooq Shaikh , Incharge Social Service Dept. Of Jamaat e Islami Hind Malwani said “Islam Teaches us to not fill his stomach unless his neighbours are hungry,therefore all over India Jamaat has called it’s volunteers to serve people in this crucial time”.
Jamaat and SIO also planning to extend their efforts from food packet to monthly ration.
