Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has clarified that the decision regarding lockdown is yet to be finalised. Mumbai’s Municipal Commissioner said that, if things do not improve then certain restrictions will have to be imposed. News agency reports that due to massive rise in covid patients in the state, various restrictions are imposed in the state in last few days. Tope has stated that, In near future these restrictions will be more stringent.
Objectives of all the restrictions will be to reduce the gathering of the peoples. He also urged the citizens to follow covid guidelines, wear masks to avoid infection and lockdown. Mr. Tope clarified that sufficient beds are available in the state. Some hospitals might be facing bed crunch but this is not the situation in all the hospitals. He said that Administrations are asked to increase the number of beds along with all other necessary equipment and oxygen.
