Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thakceray on Tuesday evening announced the imposition of stricter curbs in the state. Thackeray said his government is not imposing a complete lockdown.
Thackeray announced the curbs in an address to the state following an unprecedented surge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra over the past few weeks. The CM said Section 144 will be imposed in the state for 15 days from 8 pm Wednesday in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
