Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray today imposed curfew in the entire state. “Today I am compelled to announce a statewide curfew. People were not listening and we are compelled”, says Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Monday. The number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra shot up from 74 to 89 in just 24 hours.
This is the biggest spurt of positive cases in a single day – from 53 on Friday to 64 on Saturday and from 74 on Sunday to 89 on Monday.
