The COVID-19 cases are surging in Delhi daily and so looking at the situation Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that the government has extended the lockdown till next Monday.
“We had imposed a 6-day lockdown in Delhi. The lockdown is being extended to next Monday till 5 am,” said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
The lockdown was initially imposed in the city on April 19 and was scheduled to be lifted on April 26. However, after the new announcement, the lockdown restrictions will stay in effect till May 3.
He also announced that the Delhi government has started a portal that will be updated every two hours by oxygen manufacturers, suppliers and hospitals for better management of oxygen supply. “The Central and State teams are working together,” he added.
