On Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Bhola Yadav, former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, in connection with the land-for-jobs scam, officials said Wednesday.
The agency is currently carrying out raids at four locations in Patna and Darbhanga in Bihar.
Bhola Yadav was the private secretary of the former Chief Minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, from 2004 to 2009. Lalu Yadav was the Union Railway Minister at the time when a recruitment scam came to light.
It is alleged that Bhola Yadav is the alleged kingpin of the scam. It is also alleged that land and plots were taken in lieu of getting jobs.
After an investigation into the matter, the CBI registered a case against Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, Misa Yadav, Hema Yadav and several candidates who were given jobs in land for job scam.
