Kerala govt bans assembly of over 5 persons due to rise in COVID-19 cases

In Kerala, the State Govt has announced a ban on the assembly of more than five persons due to rising number of COVID-19 cases.

The Government directed District Collectors to impose prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC to prevent public congregations and gatherings.

In an order issued by Chief Secretary Vishwas Mehta late yesterday assembly or gathering of people numbering over five has been prohibited from October 3rd to 31st.
