A training aircraft crashed in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district on Thursday afternoon, killing both people on board. The aircraft was reportedly carrying an instructor and a trainee pilot when it went down near Natha Purva village along the banks of the Ganga.
The deceased pilots have been identified as Sachin Bhatia, the instructor from Gujarat, and Abhishek Pujari, a resident of Karnataka, according to News18 Hindi.
The aircraft was a twin-engine, four-seater plane being used for training purposes. The crash caused the aircraft to break apart, with visuals from the site showing wreckage scattered across an open area.
