Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was pushed when he was on his way to Hathras to meet the victim’s family. Clash broke out between Uttar Pradesh police and Congress workers in which Rahul was pushed on the ground and lathi was charged. However, now Congress leader said it’s not a big deal.

Taking a dig at the government, the ex-Congress chief said: “Entire country has been pushed to corner. So it’s not a big deal if I am pushed or heckled. It’s our job to protect our country. Dhakka kha lenge (we will bear this). Jo asli dhakka laga….jo unimaginable dhakka laga wo us parivar ko laga…… (The actually push that was felt… was felt by the victim’s family).”

“People who have daughters will understand this. Imagine, someone kills your child and locks you up in your house. The District Magistrate threatens you. That’s why I sent there so I don’t feel alone. I am here for all the women who have faced sexual violence,” Mr Gandhi added.
