In the MVA Government, Shiv Sena and Congress ministers have been repeatedly complaining about not getting enough funds. Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar took a dig at the National Congress Party (NCP). The senior Sena leader while speaking in Dapoli, Ratnagiri, said that it is called Thackeray sarkar but the real benefit is taken by the Pawar sarkar.

Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar made an interesting statement which can be seen as taking a dig at their alliance partner, the National Congress Party (NCP). The senior Sena leader while speaking in Dapoli, Ratnagiri, said that it is called Thackeray sarkar but the real benefit is taken by the Pawar sarkar. “I don’t want to contest any election here (in Ratnagiri). In Mumbai, we get sufficient funds in the form of CM and Nagar Vikas funds. Elected representatives from rural areas have to take care of so many villages. I give my help as much as possible in such cases. There is intense competition to get funds from the government. I will take NCP’s name here. We call this Thackeray sarkar but the real benefit is taken by the Pawar sarkar. This is what leads to tension in the government,” Kirtikar said.

Kirtikar was speaking at a public event in Dapoli, Maharashtra, wherein other Sena local leaders and MLA Yogesh Kadam were also present. In the MVA Government, Shiv Sena and Congress ministers have been repeatedly complaining about not getting enough funds.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis in the Assembly earlier had pointed out that this three-party government was beneficial for the NCP as the party was getting a lot more funds than the Shiv Sena and Congress. BJP leader Atul Bhatkalkar also took a dig at the Shiv Sena over Kirtikar’s comments.

“First it was AIMIM’s Imtiaz Jaleel who showed the Sena its true picture and now veteran Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar made these comments. Before criticising the BJP, CM Uddhav Thackeray should first handle this discontent amongst his party leaders,” Bhatkalkar tweeted.
