Indore: Indore witnessed a horrific accident late Monday night when an out-of-control truck ran over a group of people on Airport Road, leaving three dead and several injured. The incident has triggered outrage across Madhya Pradesh, with shocking visuals of the crash going viral on social media.

Taking swift action, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav suspended nine police officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Arvind Tiwari, ACP Suresh Singh, ASI Prem Singh, Subedar Chandresh Maravi, and Inspector Deepak Yadav. Four constables on duty during the incident were also suspended.

In a contrasting move, constables Pankaj Yadav and Anil Kothari, along with an auto-rickshaw driver, were praised for their courage and will be rewarded for their prompt response during the crisis.

According to eyewitnesses, the speeding truck veered off course and crushed at least 15 people standing roadside. The tragedy worsened when a motorcycle got stuck under the truck and was dragged for several meters before catching fire, causing chaos and panic.

CM Yadav rushed to the hospital to meet the injured and expressed deep grief over the loss of lives. He also ordered a high-level probe, questioning how a heavy vehicle was allowed inside city limits before 11 PM despite a strict ban.
