Patna: Senior BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan while defending the recently launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, describing it as a mission of justice for the nation’s daughters and a firm step against terrorism.
Speaking at a public gathering in Patna, Prasad contrasted the trajectories of India and Pakistan since independence.
“Pakistan and India were born on the same date in 1947… Today, India is the fourth largest economy in the world, whereas Pakistan is going around begging with a bowl in its hand,” he remarked, drawing applause from the audience.
Addressing queries raised during an all-party delegation’s visit about the naming of ‘Operation Sindoor’, the former Union Minister offered a powerful justification.
“We were asked why the operation was named ‘Operation Sindoor’? We said the ‘sindoor’ of our daughters and sisters was wiped off, so we named it to destroy those terrorists…” said Prasad.
