India is at forefront of initiatives that seek to prevent non-communicable diseases: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is at the forefront of initiatives that seek to prevent non-communicable diseases and further wellness. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, together, we all have to make our planet healthier. He thanked UN Institute of Training and Research, UNITAR for lauding India’s remarkable progress to reduce pre-mature mortality from Non Communicable Diseases, NCDs.

UNITAR has sought cooperation of Government of India to promote lessons learned from implementation of the National Multisectoral Action Plan NMAP for Prevention and Control of Common NCDs.
