Woman, Two Alleged Accomplices Arrested In Hyderabad Murder Case
A woman and two of her alleged associates have been arrested in Hyderabad after police claimed they conspired to murder her husband following a failed attempt to kill him earlier. Investigators allege that the crime was carefully planned and executed while the victim was recovering from serious injuries.
The case came to light after the victim’s mother approached the police, expressing suspicion over the circumstances surrounding her son’s death.
Mother Raised Suspicion Over Son’s Death
According to police, the complaint was lodged on July 1 by the mother of Prasanth (35), who had been working in a Gulf country. She informed investigators that she learnt of her son’s death only after it had occurred and claimed she had no prior knowledge of his return home.
Suspecting foul play, she requested a detailed investigation into the incident, leading police to probe the events surrounding Prasanth’s death.
Police Allege Murder Was Planned Over Relationship
During the investigation, police claimed that Sandhya (32) was in a relationship with Anil (35) and that the two allegedly viewed Prasanth as an obstacle.
Investigators allege the pair enlisted the help of Venkata Sai to execute the murder plot.
According to police, Sai allegedly visited Prasanth on June 29, made him consume excessive alcohol and later pushed him from the terrace of his residence. Despite suffering serious injuries, Prasanth survived the fall.
Victim Allegedly Killed While Recovering
Police said the injured man was initially admitted to a government hospital before being shifted to a private hospital. He was later brought back home for further care.
Investigators allege that while Prasanth was recovering, Sandhya administered toilet cleaner and an anaesthetic through a medical cannula. Police further claimed she later pushed him from the bed, resulting in his death.
Authorities said the three accused allegedly confessed during questioning and have since been arrested. They were produced before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
Separate Investigation Continues In Pune Murder Case
In a separate case, investigators probing the murder of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal have recovered a Snapchat message allegedly sent by accused Siya Goyal before the incident.
According to police, the message reportedly indicated that the planned wedding would not take place despite preparations being underway. Officials said the conversation is being examined as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged conspiracy.
Police have stated that further investigation is underway in both cases.
