Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray interacts with 700 doctors
Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today interacted with around 700 private doctors of Mumbai through a video conference on the Covid crisis. The chief minister directed the doctors on the line of treatment they should implement while treating a Covid patient.
It was for the second time in less than a week when CM Thackeray interacted with around 300 private doctors from Mumbai through virtual mode. With today’s interactive session the CM has interacted with one thousand doctors on how they should deal with the third possible wave of Covid-19.
A press statement issued by the chief minister’s office said, during the session, the CM also cleared the doubts of some doctors.
He said that in the ongoing Covid crisis family doctors play an important role as patients first visit these doctors when they suffer from any minor or major illness.
Thackeray said family doctors owe a big responsibility as they can stop a disease in the initial phase of its detection.
The chief minister said if the family doctors diagnose Covid by examining the initial symptoms then it would help in curing the patients.
He further directed these doctors to frequently enquire with the patients who are in home isolation as it will give them psychological support, and if there is any deterioration in their health then they can be immediately hospitalised.
He appealed to the doctors to register at Covid care centres or jumbo Covid centres saying that their service is required there as well.
Saying that there is a possibility of children would be infected, he asserted that a task force of paediatrician is being formed.
