The Hague, Netherlands: While living away from India, everyone has a passion for Marathi language, art and culture but needs an avenue to express it.
Finally with this noble thought that all the Marathi people based in Holland should get the same opportunity and through this community association, cultural integration of Marathi people, the cultural and social movement of “Rashmin” Kalopasak group was planted in 2011.
In the year 2015, “Netherlands Marathi Mandal” named ‘Rashmin’ was established on the occasion of Maharashtra Day.
In India, mainly in Maharashtra, public Ganeshotsav is celebrated with the intention of creating social awareness and commitment at the ideological level. Ganaraya is enthusiastically welcomed with Dhol-Tashe, Lezeem, Barchi and an unforgettable 10-day celebration begins!
Keeping this commitment and enthusiasm, Netherlands Marathi Mandal has been continuously trying to maintain the tradition of public Ganeshotsav as dreamed by Lokmanya Tilak in Europe.
The Netherlands Marathi Mandal has been working for the past 10 years to keep our language, noble culture, art and tradition flowing in Europe.
Like every year, the volunteers of the Netherlands Marathi Mandal are working hard to warmly welcome Lord Ganesha.
The Marathi Mandal are going to welcome revered Lord Ganesha of The Hague. On Saturday, September 3, at “Podium Nord” (formerly Diamant theatre).
There will be various games, contests, seminars, cultural programs and delicious food for adults and children! So, save the date and join us in large numbers for your beloved Ganeshotsav!
