New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday expressed its displeasure with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Delhi government for its delay in handling the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report. The court reprimanded the government, stating that it had “dragged its feet” in submitting the report and fulfilling its obligations.

The CAG report, which assesses financial management and audit of state funds, had been pending for an extended period, leading to concerns over transparency and accountability. The court emphasized the importance of timely submission and warned that continued delay could affect governance and public trust.

The AAP government has been under scrutiny for various administrative issues, and this latest criticism from the judiciary adds to the ongoing tension. As per the court, the failure to adhere to timelines for financial reporting compromises the efficacy of governance and oversight.
