Yeola (Nashik): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chitra Wagh criticised Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government for an unfortunate incident that took place in Yeola in which mother and her three daughters were sexually assaulted and forced for religious conversion.

Chitra Wagh lashed at the government for not being able to maintain the law and order situation in the state and how women are unsafe.

Wagh met the victims and promised to give justice to the family. She also met the police officials to review the progress in the investigation.

“It was only after I asked police about the matter, things started moving in the case. Still one of the girls is missing and I am worried for her. But it shows the home department’s apathy to protect our women,” she said.

The BJP leader expressed shock over the incident and said the culprits have no fear for laws. “It is really sad and shocking that some ‘Baba’ has dared to do the act. The woman and her daughter come from an educated family and are still exploited by this man. This has to stop. I would stand by these women and bring justice for them if police fail to act,” Wagh added.
