Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief spokesperson Mahesh Tapase on Wednesday remarked that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde must be fearful of the growing popularity of the NCP and hence made a ridiculous claim of two factions in NCP.
Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Ajit Pawar today argued his position regarding Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
As the former finance minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar had made budgetary provisions for the memorial of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and instituted an award in his name. This was mentioned in the first para of the state budget presented by him in March 2022.
This shows how much Ajit Pawar reveres Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, said Mahesh Tapase.
The NCP leader further alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had hatched a conspiracy to defame Ajit Pawar but today they have been silenced as the true picture has emerged.
Speaking to newspersons today the Chief Minister refrained from commenting on the budgetary provisions made by Ajit Pawar for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj memorial but made a ridiculous claim that there are two factions in the NCP which is clearly a reflection of his party losing ground to NCP said Mahesh Tapase.
