BSF organised Bharat Darshan Tour for Kupwara students concluded today

Srinagar: Under the aegis of ‘Ajadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the 140 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) organised Bharat Darshan Tour for the students of government high school, Dapal, Machhal and Kupwara, which concluded on Wednesday.

The Bharat Darshan Tour accompanied by Himanshu Chaturvedi, Assistant Commandant 140 bn BSF was conducted   under Civic Action Programme (CAP) between February 9 to February 15.

A group of 14 students and one teacher of Government High School of villages of Dapal, Misribehak and Katwara near to Line of Control (LoC) under the aegis of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” participated in said tour.

Chief guest Brigadier Manish Datt Upadhyay (Retd), DIG SHQ Kupwara, Anil Verma, Commandant Administration SHQ BSF Kupwara and Devender Kumar Commandant 140 Bn BSF gave warm welcome to them at the Battalion HQ Kupwara.

Students enthusiastically shared their experience and learning from the tour.  During the weeklong tour the students visited places of historical, cultural importance in surrounding areas to witness the multicultural and multilingual diversity of mighty India.

These students visited all the major tourist attractions in and around New Delhi, Agra and also enjoyed the journey of Delhi Metro which is called the lifeline of New Delhi besides interacting with tourists, BSF officers and troops.

During the tour students carried the message of love and peace from the Kashmir valley to the rest of India. At the closing ceremony a framed group photo & album was presented by Brig. Manish Datt Upadhyay (Retd), DIG SHQ Kupwara having their tour memories followed by refreshment.

All participants appreciated the Bharat Darshan Tour and the arrangements that included accommodation, food and transport etc. Participants further shared their experience with the chief guest, officers and BSF troops and families that this tour provided a unique exposure to them regarding the rich culture of India and also enabled them to gain first-hand knowledge about various developments taking place in different parts of the country.
