Brutal Murder of Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Asif Qureshi in Delhi’s Bhogal Caught on CCTV; Two Arrested

New Delhi: Delhi has been shaken by the brutal murder of Asif Qureshi, cousin of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, after a shocking CCTV video surfaced showing the fatal attack. The incident took place late Thursday night, August 7, 2025, in the Nizamuddin area, reportedly over a dispute regarding the parking of a scooty.

According to police, the argument escalated when the accused brothers, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), allegedly attacked Asif with a sharp, needle-like weapon. The footage reveals Asif’s wife, Shaina, desperately trying to intervene during the assault. Asif sustained a deep chest injury from the weapon, leading to his death on the spot.

“A man, Asif Qureshi S/o Ilyas Qureshi, resident of Bhogal, Jangpura, aged 42 years, was murdered on August 7 at around 10:30 pm following an altercation over scooter parking. One of the accused stabbed the victim in the chest with a sharp pointed object, resulting in his death. FIR No. 233/25 under Sections 103(1)/3(5) BNS has been registered on August 8. Both accused have been apprehended. Further investigation is underway,” Delhi Police stated.

Shaina, whose earlier name was Renu Jaun, revealed she had a love marriage with Asif in 2018, after which her name was changed. She disclosed that Asif had two marriages—while one of his wives lives in Nizamuddin, he resided with Shaina.
