New Delhi: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on Delhi’s controversial excise policy has triggered a political war of words, with the BJP and Congress both accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of corruption. BJP national president J.P. Nadda on Saturday alleged that the report exposes intentional lapses by the Delhi government, leading to a ₹2,026 crore loss to the public exchequer.

Nadda, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), criticized AAP’s governance, claiming, “Intoxicated by power, high on misgovernance. ‘AAP’DA model of loot in full display and that too on something like liquor.” He accused the AAP government of running a “Liquorgate” scam, emphasizing that the lapses in policy implementation were deliberate.

The BJP leader asserted that it is only a matter of time before the people of Delhi punish AAP at the polls. The Congress also joined the attack, calling for accountability and accusing AAP of betraying public trust. Both parties demanded further investigations into the matter and swift action against those responsible.
