BJP today attacked the Maharashtra Chief Minister following the resignation of State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh saying Uddhav Thackeray has lost the moral authority to govern. Mr Deshmukh has resigned from his post after the Bombay High Court ordered a CBI probe into former Mumbai Police Chief’s allegations against him.

Briefing the media in New Delhi, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad questioned Mr Thackeray’s silence in the matter. He said there may be a lot of linkages in this corruption case and all the ramifications of this issue should be investigated fairly and those involved must be brought to book. He also raised suspended police officer Sachin Waze’s case and said NIA is making revelations everyday in the case.

Targeting Shiv Sena, the BJP leader alleged that Waze’s link points to a conspiracy of corruption. Sachin Waze is currently in NIA custody for his alleged role in planting an explosives-laden vehicle near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s house in Mumbai.
